Okonomi-yaki

Okonomi-yaki

Japanese savoury pancake ‘Okonomi-yaki’ is mainly associated with Osaka and Hirohshima. It is made with wheat flours.

The word ‘Okonomi’ means "what you like" or "what you want” and ‘yaki’ means "grilled", so you can add your favorite ingredients in batter with an egg and then grill. In general, it contains pork, cabbage or seafood.
