Akihabara

Akihabara is a district in central Tokyo, The Akihabara is renowned worldwide for its treasure trove of consumer electronics and the many electronic retail outlets. Hundreds of shops, from megastores to tiny parts shops, line the streets. In recent years, larger shops have sprung up and are recommended for tourists from overseas. It has also gained fame as the centre of the gaming, Manga and animation cultures.

Hundreds of electronics shops of various sizes can be found around Akihabara Station and along Chuo Dori (Chuo Street). They offer everything from the newest computers, cameras, televisions, mobile phones and home appliances to second-hand goods and electronic junk.
