Osaka Castle Museum

This is a symbol of Osaka city and not hard to find. The castle gives visitors an authentic sense of the Azuchi-Momoyama period (around 1570-1600), where a colourful culture flourished.

You can take in the breath-taking panoramic view of lively Osaka city surrounded by the Osaka plain and the mountains from an observation deck.

Another popular attraction is the ‘fitting experience’. For a small fee of 300yen, you can try on a Sengoku warriors’ helmet, a battle surcoat or a kosode kimono.

In early spring, the blossom of 1, 250 Japanese apricot trees and 4,500 cherry trees in Osaka castle is a sight worth seeing.

There are several stations such as JR Osaka-jo Koen around and the castle can be accessed 15-20 min. on foot from these stations.

It also can be accessed by Osaka river cruise boat.
