Travelling in Japan is easy, comfortable and pleasant. Booking in advance saves a lot of time. The support by an experienced agency is worth the money (for the first-time Japan traveller, at least). Our agent Wakako was very very kind, patient and helpful and took care of everything. Thank you!
We enjoyed everything in Japan - the megacities, the very beautiful landscapes and great vegetation, railway and bus travelling (always comfortable, almost always on time), temples and shrines full of atmosphere, gardens, castles, volcanoes, and hiking. And most of all - the people, who are always friendly and helpful - in spite of the poor english of most of them, communication was never a problem. The food requires getting used to it, but you can get many different kindes of food almost everywhere so you always have the joice.
Our journey to Japan was certainly worth the time and the money.

A wonderful cultural experience on seeing how other people live. Very well organised, with some outstanding guides along the way. Highly recommended. Look forward to another trip later!

Cultual experience
After the World Scout Jamboree at Kirara-Hama (next to Ajisu, Yamaguchi) I knew I just want to relax and cool down at the ocean. So I looked for a good swimming possibility close to Yamaguchi and found the island Iki on the map. I tried very hard to book an accomodation on that island by myself and didn't manage. Most homepages were in Japanese only and calling the hotels where they only speak Japanese didn't work out at all. Finally Japan Travel helped me and organized everything! From that moment on everything was just easy. The ferry was booked and I got the accomodation that was my first choice, not expensive and right next to the nicest two beaches. All transports was taken care of and Wakako-san from Travel Japan even met me at the port when I boarded the ferry to help me there. It was a service beyond imagination! On Iki island I had a great time. I rented an electrical bike to see a lot on the island and enjoyed time at the beautiful beaches. On my way back to Osaka Kansai airport I stopped for one night and one day in Kyoto to visit friends. There I stayed in the nine hours Kyoto capsule hotel, that was a fun experience.

Although the schedule was a little hectic, we greatly enjoyed our brief visit . The efficiency and comprehensiveness of the transport systems was superb. The Japanese people were friendly, polite and helpful often going out of their way to ensure we could get to where we were heading. There was an amazing range of food on offer at reasonable prices. Having expected everything to be expensive, we were very pleasantly surprised at how cheap it was to eat, travel and visit the various cultural sights. Just one tip- if you don't like crowds, queues or steps don't go into the Keep at Himejii castle!
If anyone is thinking of visiting Japan we would highly recommend you book through the Japan Travel Centre who could not have done more to ensure we had the best possible experience of their brilliant country . Our contact was helpful, informative and booked a variety of really good, well located hotels. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer

Fantastic holiday, one of the best. Brilliant job by Japan Travel Centre. Everything was organised perfectly and all went to plan. We were very grateful for the inside knowledge on where to stay and go. The rail passes were good value for money and very efficient. Thank you for organising a brilliant holiday.

Excellent help and advice with arrangements and bookings of jetfoil, hotels, ryokan and bus to Sado island Earth Festival - which was really fantastic.
Eating out was much cheaper than we had anticipated, the trains were punctual, the people so so helpful, polite and lovely.
Would have loved to stay longer and explore more.
We are a family of 5- two adults and 3 kids - 16,14,11- a fantastic and memorable experience for the whole family and something for everyone.

We took a nine day 'combination tour, - 3 days Tokyo, then Hakone,Takayama, Kanazawa then Kyoto, with Sunrise tours (booked very efficiently through Japan Travel Centre in the UK) before going to a Congress in Kyoto.
Organization was superb- everything was like clockwork. When traveling by train we were met by guides waiting for us on the platform. Hotels were all excellent- clean, comfortable and well located with outstanding service. City hotels not surprisingly tended to have small rooms. We were on the 'cheapest' package but that is not surprising and there is no point in upgrading. The tour was arranged so that we saw a variety of different sights and areas, shrines, temples, view points, gardens, heritage houses, cities, country etc.
We particularly loved Takayama, and would have liked to have stayed there longer. For those who have not been to Japan, we were surprised how early restaurants closed - often 8.00 pm, but evening the hotels by 9.00 pm. Also Japanese punctuality is absolute- when a time is given it is meant, including the public transport. The guides were very good indeed. Only in Kyoto, did we feel overwhelmed by the number of other tourists. Overall we love to go again, and if so we would arrange to spend an extra day or two in Hakone and in Takayama.
