I went to Japan to study and practice the language and immerse myself in the culture but it is the people, above all, who make Japan a very special place. I feel very grateful for your help, which was done with heart and made possible my wonderful stay in Japan. Everything went well and the accommodation was convenient and adequate, given that it was a budget choice. The hotels near the airport made life much easier I will return there as often as I can. Unfortunately, my ignorance of technology makes it impossible to share my photos of, for instance, the archery on horseback contest I saw in Kyoto.

I liked Japan. Everything went smooth. Then plan stood 100%. Good guides on our tours and great assistance from the Japan Travel Centre. Hot and humid but after the trip I think it is good that we did not get any heavy rain or typhoon since our accommodation was tents. The Lunch buffet was the best food we got the whole trip. Thanks. We got the perfect Mt Fuji view but there was construction in front of the observation deck I will send to you the view. But our tour guides informed us that we were lucky to be able to see the mountain. no mist and no clouds. We got a good look on the Bus. In Iceland we are used to see mountains so we thought it is strange that we were so lucky. The Tokyo morning tour was also great. We got little taste of Tokyo. The tour guides were great. The JR passes worked fine we could use them also to get around Tokyo. We lost two passes on the way to our host one in Yamaguchi station and one on the train to Yokohama. We got both passes back to use in Tokyo. Japan is great everything we lost we got back. Even the bag that I left in Heathrow:-) We would like to thank you for the great job. We travelled from London to Tokyo and Hokkaido (Otaru, Biei, Sounkyo, Abashiri, Shiretoko) for a family summer holiday. Japan Travel were very helpful in recommending and booking an itinerary for us, along with suggested hotels (Western style and ryokan). The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful - all speak English. We were very satisfied with their hotel recommendations. They also sorted out renting a car for us in Hokkaido. Overall a very positive experience and we will use Japan Travel again for our next visit.

Sandy helped us put our dream holiday together, and the whole schedule ran very smooth. It was the most stress-free travel experience we had, particularly as we relied on trains, buses, planes, ferry and car rental. The various accommodations we stayed at were also very memorable. We created a lot of wonderful memories, captured with photos.

Went to Japan in June with my wife. We had planned our trip from the end of 2014 with the help of Japan Travel Center, and more specifically Sandy who was amazing. The quality of the service and the prices obtained are incredibly better than anything you can get from other agents. The food, especially the local food is exceptional. Overall, I believe there aren't many countries in the world that offer as much as what Japan does.

Our trip to Japan was, by far, the most enlightening and enjoyable holiday I have ever been on.
The organisation was made easy thanks to the continued help and advice of the Japan Centre. From booking ryokans to advising us on cultural etiquette, their team's advice proved invaluable.
The trip itself ran smoothly all the way through, even though we spoke shamefully little Japanese. Everyone we came across helped us and ensured we got from A to B without a hitch, and always with a smile and lots of enthusiasm. We met many people along the way, made friends with ryokan owners and random strangers who were keen to practice their English, and fell in love with Japanese food, Japanese culture and, most of all, Japanese people.
I would go back to Japan in a heartbeat and have already convinced many of my friends to make it their next adventure as well.

Japan Travel Centre were excellent! All the places I stayed in that they recommended and booked were just what I wanted and needed. The Japan Rail Pass is a godsend - you can get just about anywhere with it and other travel (bus, tram or subway) is very affordable compared to the UK.
I loved Japan and can't wait to go back.
I would like to give special thanks to Sandy at Japan Travel Centre who helped me so much and who answered all my many questions.

This was our first time in Japan. We would strongly recommend the use of an agent to help plan a trip, particularly if you are travelling for the first time. Japan Travel Centre was excellent.
We had 20 days in Japan. Our itinerary started with 5 days in Tokyo followed by travelling to other parts of Japan using a 14 day rail card - absolutely the way to travel. My goodness they are punctual.
Please bear in mind that all the cities are huge and take quite a time to travel through. You may find that you only get to visit one or two places of interest in one day due to the time it takes to get there.
The transport systems are excellent and English signage is to be found. Pre-booking of train trips 2-3 days in advance is recommended. Use rechargeable Suica cards (obtainable at Narita airport) for travelling around in Tokyo.
We had a range of accommodation; Japanese traditional ryokan, inns and western style accommodation - again to be strongly recommended. We stayed from 1 to 5 days in different places. One day is a little too short a stay and so we would recommend minimum of 2 days in each place.
April is a beautiful time in Japan, particularly for the cherry blossom and the temperature is not too hot which is ideal for travel. We would possibly like to go in autumn as well as the colours are supposed to be fabulous.
If you think you will need internet connection while you are in Japan research it carefully - you can hire sim cards, etc at the airport. We managed just to connect within our hotels for free (with the exception I think of one hotel).
A couple of hotels had mini laundries in so you could wash and dry clothing which was really handy.
We preferred Japan Airlines (travelled with them on the way out) to British Airways (way back) as the service was better (same aircraft). You may also be able to make savings on your air fare by travelling out of the UK via another European airport which we did going out. It only added a couple of hours on which didn't matter as it coincided with check in time quite nicely.
As regards thermal spas these were enjoyed more by the female members in our family than the male. Our 10 year old daughter really enjoyed the experience and did not find the water too hot. Etiquette please note.
If we went back then we would probably stay in fewer places but for longer periods of time.
We were a little concerned about earthquakes before we went but nothing affected our trip in this regard and certainly would not put us off visiting Japan.
Japan is a very safe country to travel in - at least that is how we felt.
We would love to use Japan Travel Centre again.
