We really enjoyed our time in Japan.  It was cherry blossom season, and we were lucky to hit the peak days almost everywhere we went.  Our focus was Kyushu, which we had not visited before.  We were especially impressed with the temples and shrines, the steaming volcanoes, the beautiful views of mountains and waterfalls, the ryokan and onsen experience, the Japanese gardens, and the historic sites in Nagasaki (Dejima, the A-Bomb memorial) and Kumamoto (the castle, which was still impressive even though it has been earthquake damaged: Kumamoto Castle in April).  We had excellent advice and support from the Japan Travel Centre who arranged personal tours for us (with drivers and guides) that allowed us to see things we never could have seen otherwise.  Wakako Kondo in particular not only worked hard with us in the lead up to our travel to get the best possible itinerary, but  also actively helped us during the trip.  We would be very happy to recommend Japan Travel Centre to anybody planning a trip to Japan.

Sandy of Japan Travel Centre made my trip stress-less and so much fun. I told her what i wanted and she made everything so easy when i got there as she helped in ensuring i really enjoyed Japan (traditionally and modern ways). I would recommend Japan Travel Centre to everyone as they ensured I got the best experiences possible and they are so helpful, attentive, understanding and absolute professionals.

I had arranged this Japanese holiday through The Japan Travel Centre, as it was highly recommended to me. And I am happy to say that I wasn't disappointed as they organised everything (flights, hotels & travel).

The flights with ANA (which I would highly recommend) cannot be faulted, mainly due to the superb cabin staff. The same can also be said for the hotels that the Japan Travel Centre selected for us.

We are grateful that the Japan Travel Centre suggested staying in a Japanese style hotel, as the experience was one of utter enchantment.

Using the JR travel pass was a very economic way of getting around Japan, especially as I travelled on several Bullet trains.

Japan has something for everyone, food, culture, history, technology, scenery and much more, and I am grateful that the Japan Travel Centre made the planning of this wonderful holiday worry free

we enjoyed every minute, we liked the kindness of the people, the organization of daily life, the order and safety of living.

Perfectly organised tour of Kyushu which provided many unforgettable memories from the haunting museum of the Nagasaki Atomic bomb and the ground zero site; visiting Gunkanjima; travelling on the bullet train and the quaint Ibusuki Tamatebako train; impeccable service in all the hotels and Japanese 12 course banquets; trekking through the rain forests of Yakushima; learning the etiquette of using the Onsen; picturesque Takachiho Gorge and the seven hells of Beppu.  The culinary experiences and the friendliness of the people were second to none. 

 Last but not least, our tour planner Wakako was lovely, meeting and greeting us at the beginning and end of our tour to ensure we had all our documents and understood the plan; her impeccable planning meant our holiday went very smoothly and was easy to follow. We contacted her once during our tour and she sorted out our query very efficiently and followed up with a phone call the following day.

Each hotel booked for us by our travel agent was convenient as it was beside the train stations, and information was provided as to how to get around the city by ourselves (who are non-Japanese speakers). Kyushu is recommended for those who prefer to travel and see traditional Japan, as opposed to Tokyo and Osaka. We arrived in one of the cities, and wasn't expecting snow. It made our onsen experience much better in Kurokawa.

Having received great service beforehand from the Japan Travel Centre, the trip went very smoothly, with all the pre-arranged bookings and transport being exactly as I'd hoped.

Whilst snow was late arriving in the Nagano area, there was still some good skiing and there was the advantage of there being few people on the slopes.

The people in Japan are extremely helpful - be it in the hotels, railway stations or simply in cafes and restaurants. They evidently want you to enjoy the experience of being in Japan.

Japan is a magical place. The way Shinto, Buddhism, and lively capitalism coexist side by side is often breathtaking. The trains are wonderful, and the food simply amazing.  I had a truly unforgettable experience, and would love to go again.
