Oirase Mountain Stream

Oirase Mountain Stream is located in the Towadako Hachimantai National Park and is one of the must-see sites along with Lake Towada. The Oirase River flows from Lake Towada, and the 14 km source section between Nenokuchi and Yakeyama is called the Oirase Mountain Stream. The hike along the stream is very popular and takes around 5 hours to complete. It is one of the best locations to admire the beauty of autumn foliage in Japan.
