Shiba-Zakura (Pink Moss) Festival

Shiba-zakura (moss pink) festival is held between mid-May and early June in Higashimokoto Shiba-Zakura Park in the town of Ozora. The hills are covered with a carpet of beautiful pink moss.

Access:: 50 min by local bus from JR Abashiri station and 10 minute taxi ride or 40 min by car from Abashiri city
Hours:: 8am – 5pm (closed during off peak season)
