As our office is temporally closed since Saturday 21st Mar, please DONOT return your un-exchanged JR Pass voucher yet. We can accept the refund or date change within one year from the date of issue.
Considering the recent advice from Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), our cancellation policy for JR pass has been updated as follows,
Japan Travel Centre customers purchased the JR pass before 17 Mar 20 due to depart for Japan between 17th March 2020 and 31st May 2020 (with proof of e-ticket copy), we will waive 10% of cancellation charge.
You will have the following two options:
We will waive 10% of cancellation charge, however we require a GBP20 handling fee per pass to process the refund. Please return your un-exchanged voucher to us for a refund within one year from the original pass issue date. For security reasons we can only complete a refund to the same payment card used at the time of purchase. Please note, refunds cannot be processed without returning the original unused pass to us. We recommended returning your JR Pass exchange orders via recorded delivery or in person. The postage is non-refundable.
We will waive a GBP15.00 handling charge for the rebooking. We will collect the fare difference if any between the original and new pass at the time of reissuing. Please return your un-exchanged voucher to us for the rebooking within one year from the original pass issue date for amendment to be processed. The postage is non-refundable.
Cancellation or amendment for travelling on/after 1st June 2020; Standard cancellation rules apply - Cancellation charge 10% plus GBP20 refund handling charge per pass.
* Please note that we are unable to offer you a refund for IC cards (Pasmo/Suica) and Japan SIM cards. IC cards are valid for ten years so you will be able to use this on a future trip. For SIM card, you will be able to use on a future trip before the expiration date you will find on the package. IC cards and SIM cards can be transferred to others if you wish.
