Nara city was the first fixed capital of the country in Nara period (710-784). However, the village of Asuka, located 20km south of the historic center of Nara city, was the most important capital of Japan before the capital changed frequently. This period is marked as the arrival of Buddhism in the archipelago, the most significant influence of foreign culture and much of Japanese culture developed at that time. Therefore, a large number of national treasures, such as Buddhist temples and Shinto sanctuaries in particular, were concentrated in the Nara region. This tour is partially guided with an English-speaking local guide for 4 days and 3 nights in the Nara area offering unique spiritual and authentic experiences. Nara is a region with full of cultural as well as spiritual charm and there are still little known places that remain to be discovered. You will enjoy the beautiful and peaceful Japanese countryside, too!
